Experience With Instabridge

We tried Instabridge in August 2024 during our travels in Thailand. Our experience was positive, and the eSIM worked right away.

In this section, we'll share our experience with Instabridge eSIM - from the purchase to the customer service.

Instabridge Website Experience

The Instabridge website is well-designed and easy to navigate. We can find everything we need in just a few clicks.

The user experience could be slightly improved on the desktop version.

Here are a few examples:

• Instead of using a search bar to find your destination, you must use a dropdown menu. For example, Curaçao is found under CW instead of Curaçao. This can be confusing for some.
• To find the perfect plan, you need to use the slider option. We prefer seeing a list of all the plans available so we can decide without sliding right and left multiple times.
• The list of countries covered under a regional or global plan is not available on the desktop version. Therefore, you'll need to install the app to find out if the countries you plan to visit are covered.

However, the app presents a different experience. You'll find more information there. We liked the feature that shows how many hours of Internet are available.

There are still a few things that could be improved:

• The app was frozen on two occasions, and I had to shut it down and reopen it.
• The eSIM installation process is automatic with the app but can take a few minutes.
• You can't use a coupon code when purchasing directly in the app.

Buying An ESIM On Instabridge

When we find a plan we like, we can purchase it quickly without going through many clicks/pages.

You'll have a couple of options for payment:

• Credit card
• Google Pay

Once the transaction is completed, you can install and activate your plan right away via the app. You'll get clear steps and guidelines to help you install your eSIM.

If you wish to see how much data you have left, simply go back to Instabridge's app, and you'll be able to see how much data is remaining at all times.

Connection

We got a great Internet speed upon installation.

For the time being, it's not possible to see which networks are supported in the eSIM plan. 

Customer Service And Support

We contacted the support to get help, and we got an answer after 11 hours.

Now, if we compare to other providers, it's quite slow. 

You can contact the support inside the app by clicking on My Data. You'll find the support icon on the bottom right side of your screen. Then, you can click on the Chat with us button.

Instabridge Honest Opinion

We've tried Instabridge in 2024, and our experience was positive.

Instabridge offers a great selection of plans with more data than most providers. For example, most providers only offer 2 GB for 15 days, while Instabridge provides 3 GB for that period. To us, that's an exciting offering.

They also have a Pay As You Go feature available in the app. To enable this function, click on the More button and then on the Pay As You Go option.

However, we feel some things could be improved for a better user experience. We have tried Instabridge the previous year, and the app and website have greatly improved over the past year. We are excited to see how things will evolve with time.

We happily recommend Instabridge, especially if you're looking for a regional or global eSIM. Note that some regions are not yet covered, as only a few regional plans are available currently.
